About Us

The Club was founded, as Flanders Football Club, in 2005 as a youth football team, with U16 and U17 age groups playing in the Barking Youth League. In season 08/09 the club has expanded to 5 teams, under 9’s, under 12’s, under 14’s and two adult teams.

The aims and objectives of the club are to provide an environment where young people and adults from East Ham and surrounding areas, irrespective of race, gender or religion, can participate safely and progressively in recreational and competitive football.  The club has a poppy flower at the centre of its badge and has the motto “victurus te saluto” which translated means “We who are about to defeat you salute you” – lets hope over time this is true more often than not!

Prior to 2005 the Seniors team were were East Ham Baptist Football Club and achieved numerous honours. The acheivements of East Ham Baptist Football Club formed have given Flanders FC a solid platform to build a strong club and have enbaled us to become a positive contributor to the community.

Flanders Field

Flanders Field in East Ham takes its name from  Flanders Fields, best known for the World War One battle that took place there and where Poppies still grow freely.
